Nepal Lok Sewa Aayog Exam: Notice, Admit Card and Preparation Workflow
PSC Nepal vacancy notices — service/group/level, inclusive quotas, online application, syllabus, paper pattern and admit-card window.
Public Service Commission (Lok Sewa Aayog / PSC) Nepal publishes each vacancy notice on psc.gov.np with service, group, sub-group, level (e.g., Kharidar/Section Officer/Joint Secretary level), quota, syllabus, age, education and selection method. Notices are corrigendum-prone: checking the notice page weekly during the application window is essential.
Reading the notice before you apply
Open the current notice for the service/group/level you target and note inclusive quotas (women, indigenous, Madhesi, Dalit, disabled, backward area where the notice lists them), education (often bachelor's for officer level), age calculation date, and document format. Age, qualification and experience are cut strictly at the date the notice states.
Online application hygiene
Create the PSC online account with data exactly matching academic records and citizenship certificate: name spelling, date of birth, and parent names. Upload photograph/signature and documents per size and format stated for that notice — a beautiful preparation means nothing if the online form is rejected for a 1 MB photo where 250 KB is the limit. Save the submission slip and keep the mobile/email active — that is the channel for admit-card release.
Syllabus and paper pattern
Each notice links the syllabus and pattern — commonly an objective (MCQ) first paper (with negative marking where stated), followed by subjective/descriptive papers, and interview/practical where the service requires it. Split preparation by paper, keep a one-page error log, practise descriptive answers under timed conditions, and attempt full-length mock sets closer to the date.
Admit card and examination
Download the admit card only from the link in the notice/portal during the stated window (often 7-14 days before the exam). Bring the exact identity document the notice lists — citizenship certificate plus admit card is typical. Centre, shift and reporting time are printed on the card; reaching the wrong centre on a hilly route is a common failure.
