Singapore Work Pass Check: MOM Services for Employment Offer Verification

SingaporeΓÇÖs Ministry of Manpower (MOM) publishes work-pass types and employer obligations. The employer, occupation, salary, nationality, and sector affect the applicable pass. A recruiter cannot turn a tourist entry into work authorisation.

Verify before travel

Request a written contract and the employerΓÇÖs legal name. Check the pass type on MOMΓÇÖs official information and ask which party submits the application. Never pay a person for a ΓÇ£guaranteed approval,ΓÇ¥ and do not surrender your passport except where an official, documented process requires temporary presentation.

After an application

Keep the application or approval reference and check the issued pass details. Confirm employer, occupation, salary, and expiry. If the job changes, ask MOM whether a new application is needed. Employers and workers may have separate reporting, medical, insurance, and housing obligations.
