Seasonal work can involve a government labour-mobility programme, an overseas employer, immigration approval, and a Samoan recruiting or labour authority. Confirm the programme and current country instructions through official government channels before paying or travelling.

Written contract checklist

The contract should identify the employer, location, work, pay method, deductions, accommodation, transport, duration, complaint route, and return arrangements. Compare it with the visa and official programme information. Ask who pays recruitment, travel, medical, and document costs.

Prepare for departure

Keep your passport, visa, contract, emergency contacts, and family copies. Record the employer and accommodation address. Never hand over your phone banking PIN or an OTP. Your visa conditions may restrict work for another employer or outside the named programme.

If the job changes

Contact the labour or immigration authority and your embassy before accepting a transfer. For threats, withheld wages, or violence, seek emergency help and report through official welfare channels. Promises of guaranteed savings or permanent residence are not proof. Verify the current programme before signing.
